Food waste is a major contributor to climate change
Uneaten food is a waste of a lot of things: water, resources, labour, time, money, land, but that is just the tip of the iceberg.
Food waste also accounts for a huge slice of our carbon footprint. A hefty 10% of our greenhouse emissions come from food we throw in the bin. It’s a growing problem that the planet is paying for, so much so, that Project Drawdown named Reducing Food Waste as the number one solution to climate change.
